ISOLATION KILLS.
We believe that Veteran Suicide is often the result of isolation. According to the Veteran Administration's 2021 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, 17.2 Veterans a day are dying by suicide. 10.4 of those Veteran's had not been touched by the VA in the two years prior. The Department of Defense's Annual Suicide Report for CY 2020 has 2 service members dying by suicide every 3 days.
In an effort to eliminate Veteran suicide we must create consistent opportunities for connection amongst Service Members, Veterans and Families. Our Connections program provides a great way for Service Members, Veterans and Families to experience the fellowship that they had while they were in service.
Most of our events are held at Veteran-friendly / Veteran-owned establishments. Some ways that we connect are military family dinners / cookouts, Coffee and Camaraderie, kayaking, our weekly Veterans Support Group, and more. For a full listing of events check our NEWS & EVENTS section.
This is YOUR club. We are always open to new ideas so if you would like to hold an event in your area, reach out to at info@veteransclubinc.org and we'll talk about it.
